I love to “play” math. We play Skip-Bo to practice counting to 12. It is lots of fun I won this game.

Autumn Arts and Crafts
I love my arts and crafts class at our homeschool co-op! Here are some of the things I made this autumn.

Starting Kindergarten
It is so exciting to start Kindergarten. Here’s the record of our journey to Colonial Cafe to start the year off right.
I rode on the tricycle. Sometimes I needed a push. Paul rode on his scooter, and Mary rode in the little red wagon.

Learning about Compound Words
I am matching the parts to the whole compound words! Fun!

Me as a Butterfly!
I love Butterflies! HereĀ I am acting out the butterfly life-cycle and demonstrating all the things I have learned about butterflies in the process.
I helped Mommy get in to the acting too!
Princess School: Design a Castle
In a favorite episode of Sofia the First, Sofia and a friend design a castle of their dreams. Using If I Built a House for additional inspiration, I also made up my own plans for my own castle of my dreams!

We made a list and then I drew a picture.

Here were some highlights:
- mermaid hippos in the moat
- a dance room
- a “treats room” with cookies, cupcakes, and candy
- a water bed
- a dressing room with pretty clothes and lots of dresses
- a tower for Cedric (the sorcerer on Sofia the First)
- slides down the sides of the towers
- a dungeon for bad people to stay in

Making Paper: A Lesson in Recycling
We recycled old paper to make our own!

Here’s how we did it. First me, Paul, and Mom ripped up old, used paper.

We mushed it up in water for more than a day.

Then we pressed it in a screen and drained it.

After we dried it on towels for a few days, it was ready to write on!

I was disappointed that it was so bumpy! But it was good for writing messages and drawing pictures anyway!

Playing in the Snow
Princess School: Rapunzel

I love princesses and I love building with LEGO bricks, so we’re trying something new for school: Princess School! We’re starting with Rapunzel, and we’re going to engineer a tower for her out of big blocks.

I also practiced retelling the story.

And here is another LEGO creation I want to share! March 27, 2017
