For history I learned about the master warriors of the Middle Ages. The Mongols!
They took over much of Asia.
Here is a video of what they conquered.
Their leader was Genghis Khan. Fun Fact, The Mongols tried to conquer Japan, but a typhoon stopped them! The Japanese thought that their gods had saved them!

I felt that this year was memorable because I have got better.
Swim team is fun and hard I’m excited for next year.
In the set there are 6 people in the family. The Dad is cooking, the Mom is resting, the eldest girl, Susana, is doing school, the eldest boy, Harry, is taking a shower, Harry’s twin sister, Harriet, is watching TV and the youngest, Emily, sitting in her char.
Susana is 16, Harry + Harriet are 14, and Emily is 10.

Mary, Paul, and i spent the night at Grandma’s house with cousins!
In honor of the fiftieth anniversary of the space shuttle that went to the moon, we made our own rockets.
We went to Navy Pier to see the play of The Wizard of Oz. Then we had pizza and went on a trolley ride!
 Paul and I finished our second season of summer swim team. This year, I am a 8 and under (I’m 7) and Paul was in the 11/12 team.
Practices were a lot of work but we had fun too.
Swim meets were the most fun because we could hang out with friends but also swim really fast.
Paul was out of town for the team picture. I’m in the first row.
The Conference meet was all day long. It was hot. I got two bag tags for being the fastest in my heat! We got ice cream after the meet was over.

Usually submarines go under the water and are medium sized. But the one I saw was humongous!! I saw it at the Museum with Dad. It is a real submarine from a long time ago. It was used for a war. On one side I could see bullet holes, real ones! The fighters on the submarine used torpedoes! I saw a black and white video of someone fighting the Americans on the submarine. It was in the water. The people who built the museum built it around the submarine when it was on the land. Now everyone can go see it without going on the water. I walked inside of the submarine. I don’t think I want to stay on it in the water because it is old and it has bullet holes and it might sink.
