For history I learned about the master warriors of the Middle Ages. The Mongols!
They took over much of Asia.

Their leader was Genghis Khan. Fun Fact, The Mongols tried to conquer Japan, but a typhoon stopped them! The Japanese thought that their gods had saved them!

My brother’s middle name (Cenhangiray-in Turkish) was named after Genghis Khan. I remember years ago the Field Museum had an exhibit on Genghis Khan that was very cool.
